The Concurrent Disorders Program

Concurrent Disorders

The Concurrent Disorders Program is designed for young people up to 18 years of age who are experiencing a mental health issue and a substance use concern, and their families.

When mental health symptoms occur along with alcohol and/or drug use, there can be a negative impact on functioning at school or work, or negative effects on friendships, family life, career goals and general satisfaction.  In solving such issues, it can be difficult to find the most effective starting point.

The Concurrent Disorders Program takes a holistic approach to address both substance use and mental health concerns.  Using a harm reduction approach, we provide individual, group and family counselling, psychoeducation and other forms of support based on client needs.
