Mental Health Counsellor

Minimum Qualifications:
A Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or alternative Diploma or Degree which is determined to be equivalent by the Agency.
Minimum Experience:
Experience in the delivery of mental health intervention with children, youth, and families.
Experience with children and youth who experience behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties.
Experience with therapeutic modalities and evidence based/evidence informed practice.
Minimum Skills and Abilities:
Excellent assessment, verbal, and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Reflection and commitment to continuous learning.
Possess a valid driver’s licence and have access to a personal vehicle necessary for travel to conduct job duties.

SALARY: $30.15 - $35.32 per hour, + 8% in lieu of vacation and benefits
LOCATION: 129 Kendall Street, Point Edward, Ontario
SHIFT: Standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30AM – 4:30PM (Please note staff may be required to work outside of this schedule)
CONTRACT START: As soon as possible
CONTRACT DURATION: Three (3) years
CONTRACT CONDITIONS: This contract may be terminated with two weeks notice. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory police record check (Ontario) dated within the last twelve (12) months from the date of the Agency’s request.
