Curtis Robichaud - Board Member

Curtis Robichaud was born and raised in Sarnia and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and is currently completing his professional Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Curtis has worked extensively within the community, first as a Job Coach for the Summer Employment Transitions program at Community Living Sarnia-Lambton, then as coordinator of the program, which aims to provide a seven-week summer employment opportunity for upwards of seventy students each year. He has volunteered as the Northern high school girls’ rugby coach and for Motionball, an organization that raises funds for the special Olympics movement, where he can share his love of sport with youth. While in kinesiology at Western, Curtis helped design mentorship program to help students better transition from high school into the university setting, focusing on one-on-one mentorship and activity supporting healthy living and resilience. As a new Board Member in 2018, Curtis hopes to apply his previous experience working with youth, his education in Occupational Therapy, and passion for community development to ensure St. Clair Child & Youth Services remains responsive to community need and to ensure they foster a care environment for clients and employees that helps them cope and adapt to life’s challenges.
