Volunteers Needed for Child Care

Opportunity to Assist during Group

Volunteers are very important to the successful operation of several of our groups at St. Clair Child & Youth Services.

We are looking for volunteers specifically to provide childcare within a secure play-based environment for our COPEing with Toddler Behaviour sessions. These sessions run mornings between April 13 - June 8 (save May 18), at our Kendall Street location.  Volunteers would be needed from approximately 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

These volunteers not only get the opportunity to interact with these children (1 - 3-year olds), but also by way of their help, they give parents the gift of uninterrupted attendance in the Parent Group, and the ability for parents to speak freely about their children during the group sessions.

Responsibilities for volunteers include: interacting and playing with children and assisting them in getting settled, provide snacks (as prepared), change diapers (as needed).

Requirements: Completion of volunteer application process including 'Vulnerable Sector Check'.
Timeline: Monday mornings April 13 - June 8, 9:00 - 11:30, at St. Clair Child & Youth Services, 129 Kendall Street, Point Edward (except May 18).

Contact: Judie St. Pierre, via email: stpijud@stclairchild.ca; or via phone (519)337-3701 x 253
